Senior Rugby

With ten community clubs and almost 1000 senior participants, Central Coast Rugby Union is fast becoming a major force in producing quality Rugby players and competitions.

Central Coast Rugby Union provides a range of Male and Female competitions for all skill levels and welcomes all new participants to join their growing competitions.

Our clubs also welcome anyone interested in volunteering for their local team.

Junior Rugby

Central Coast Junior Rugby Union has been organising Junior Rugby on the NSW Central Coast area since 1980. There are now 10 Clubs with boys and girls participating in ages from u6 to u18.

We cover the full extent of the region from North to South. We have a strong representative program annually in the NSW Country Junior Championships.

Referees

The Central Coast Rugby Union Referees Association (CCRURA) will aim to provide the best possible referees at all age/grade levels with pathways to representative appointments.

About Central Coast Rugby

1975 – 2024: 50 Years  of Central Coast Rugby Union

Rugby was first played on the Central Coast competitively in 1970 after the Brisbane Waters Rugby Club was formed in 1969. The club played with limited success in the Newcastle Rugby Union competition from 1970 until 1974.

The Central Coast Rugby competition began in its own right in 1975 and now comprises of 10 Clubs.

Central Coast Rugby aspires to lead NSW Rugby Zones and our Region, to be the preferred sporting choice for men, women, and children. Our goal is to boost participation numbers and uphold administrative excellence.

We achieve this by nurturing an exceptional culture that embraces all, allowing individuals from every background to flourish through their engagement and experience with rugby union.
