Wyong Leagues Group Premier 1

 

Northlakes / The Bay 39 def. Gosford/Kariong 22
A free-flowing game between two lower-table sides. Both teams turned on the attacking flair, with Onisimo Bose and Onorio Natavo among the try-scorers. A great spectacle that highlights how both teams have improved across the season.

Warnervale 46 def. Avoca Beach 38
One of the games of the season. A crunch clash between 4th and 5th, both teams ran in six tries. However, two yellow cards to Avoca proved decisive, and Warnervale’s Bennett Gillies made the difference with the boot. These two sides could meet again in the finals – if this match was anything to go by, fans are in for a treat.

Terrigal 42 def. Lake Macquarie 25
Lake Macquarie tested Terrigal, especially in the forwards, but the Trojans’ composure and systems held strong. The match showed why both sides are in finals contention and highlighted Terrigal’s ability to weather pressure.

Razorbacks 52 def. Woy Woy 22
Woy Woy fought hard, but Razorbacks’ outside backs were again the difference. The pace and width of their attack was too much, and Woy Woy now face an uphill battle to secure a finals spot despite what’s been a promising season in their rebuild.

Premier 2

 

Terrigal 94 def. Lake Macquarie 0
A dominant Terrigal outfit wrapped up the minor premiership in emphatic fashion. Their structure and fitness were simply too much for Lake Macquarie, who had no answers.

Razorbacks 60 def. Woy Woy 5
The Razorbacks ensured their finals qualification with a one-sided affair. They were clinical in attack and resolute in defence.

Avoca Beach 55 def. Warnervale 5
A must-win game for the visitors, but Avoca slammed the door shut with a crushing performance. With just two rounds remaining, Warnervale’s finals hopes are now hanging by a thread.

Northlakes / The Bay 45 def. Gosford/Kariong 21
A strong effort from the visiting side, who continue to grow in confidence. Gosford/Kariong showed patches of form but couldn’t keep up in the second half.

Forfeit victory in the Women’s Premier 1 Match between Avoca Beach vs Warnervale to Avoca Beach.

Terrigal 43 def. Lake Macquarie 7
Terrigal showed their class with a commanding performance at home. Sophie Dryden was electric, scoring a hat trick, as the Trojans sent a strong warning to the competition ahead of finals.

Razorbacks 53 def. Woy Woy 0
A comprehensive win by the Razorbacks, who are now piling pressure on Warnervale for 4th position. The home side was relentless and controlled the match from start to finish.

 

 

Premier 3

Terrigal 102 def. Lake Macquarie 0
Terrigal were ruthless from the outset, running in over a dozen tries in a complete performance. Nicholas Armstrong was among the standouts, with the Trojans controlling every phase of the match. Lake Macquarie struggled to get into the game and will look to reset before the final rounds.

Razorbacks 26 def. Woy Woy 12
The Razorbacks notched a solid win over Woy Woy, who stayed in the contest for large periods. The home side’s consistency and discipline proved the difference in the second half.

Avoca Beach 74 def. Warnervale 0
In a 1 v 2 battle, Avoca Beach made a statement with a ruthless shutout. Warnervale were completely outclassed in all areas. This was a big step forward for Avoca’s title credentials and a humbling loss for the Wildcats.

Northlakes / The Bay 38 def. Gosford/Kariong 7
The combined side from the north produced one of their best showings of the year, dominating a flat Gosford/Kariong outfit. This crucial win keeps their finals hopes alive.
