Wyong Leagues Group Premier 1

 

Warnervale 55 def. Gosford/Kariong 7
A powerful performance on Sponsors Day saw Warnervale produce a statement win in front of a home crowd. Their dominance in both attack and defence secured a comprehensive victory and now places them in prime position to lock in 4th spot with just one round remaining. A mouth-watering clash with Avoca Beach awaits next week – a true do-or-die for both clubs.

Avoca Beach 33 def. Lake Macquarie 26
What a game of rugby! The Sharks came from behind in a high-quality encounter to keep their season alive. Lake Macquarie started strongly and looked in control at times, but Avoca’s grit and attacking composure in the second half proved the difference. The Roos will look to reset quickly before a finals campaign, while Avoca now enters a must-win clash in Round 15.

Woy Woy 55 def. Northlakes / The Bay 19
A convincing win for Woy Woy in front of a vocal home crowd. The team executed their game plan with polish and enjoyed strong contributions across the park. Northlakes / The Bay showed patches of strong play, but the lions’ pace and discipline proved too much. A welcome win for Woy Woy as they finish a solid rebuilding season.

Razorbacks 25 def. Terrigal 21
In one of the best matches of the season, the Razorbacks claimed a thrilling win away at The Haven. Both sides traded blows with three tries apiece, but it was the Razorbacks’ forward control and game management that edged them ahead in the dying stages. This result shakes up the top of the ladder – just three points now separating 1st and 2nd with one round to go. A finals-level clash that lived up to the hype.

Premier 2

 

Avoca Beach 22 def. Lake Macquarie 5
This was a scrappy and low-scoring affair for most of the match. Lake Macquarie put up a strong fight at home, holding Avoca Beach to just one try for the majority of the game. However, the visitors showed their class late in the contest, crossing for two late tries to break away and seal the win. A tough but important result as the finals approach.

Warnervale 62 def. Gosford / Kariong 7
Warnervale kept their season alive in emphatic fashion, running in a flurry of tries in a must-win clash. The home side dominated the breakdown and showed greater urgency across the park. With one round remaining, the Wildcats must back it up again next weekend to snatch a finals spot.

Northlakes / The Bay 24 def. Woy Woy 14
In a spirited battle between two sides who have struggled for results this year, it was the visitors who came out on top. Both teams exchanged tries in a well-contested opening half, but Northlakes / The Bay found more cohesion in the second half to edge ahead and claim a confidence-boosting win.

Terrigal 22 def. Razorbacks 21
One of the games of the round, this was a thrilling contest between two top sides. The Razorbacks came home strong with two late tries, but Terrigal held their nerve in the final minutes to scrape home by a single point. This result ensures the Trojans remain in the top tier heading into the final round, while the Razorbacks will be left ruing what could have been.

Women’s Premier 1

 

Warnervale 28 def. Gosford/Kariong 0 (Forfeit Win)
Warnervale collected a crucial five competition points after a forfeit from Gosford/Kariong. The result keeps the Wildcats in the hunt for finals heading into the final round.

Terrigal 22 drew Razorbacks 22
What a brilliant game of Women’s Rugby at The Haven. Both teams played end-to-end rugby, showcasing strong defence and electric backline movement. The Razorbacks fought back from behind to level the scores late and snatch a vital two competition points that keep their 2025 finals dream alive. Terrigal will take confidence from the performance as they eye the finals.

Woy Woy 38 def. Northlakes / The Bay 21
Congratulations to Woy Woy on a strong and spirited home win. The side played with intent from the opening whistle and capitalised on opportunities across the park. Northlakes / The Bay stayed competitive and had their moments, but the lions were too sharp on the day. A proud result for Woy Woy as their 2025 campaign continues to build.

Avoca Beach 71 def. Lake Macquarie 0
Avoca Beach wrapped up the Minor Premiership in devastating fashion with a runaway win on the road. Their attacking structure and clinical execution were simply too much for the Roos, who had no answers across the eighty minutes. It’s been a near-perfect season for the Sharks so far – one they’ll want to convert into finals success.

 

 

Premier 3

Avoca Beach 73 def. Lake Macquarie 12
Avoca Beach sealed the minor premiership in dominant fashion, running in try after try against a struggling Lake Macquarie outfit. Their set piece and backline were in complete control, showing why they’ve been the benchmark all season. Lake Macquarie managed two tries of their own but were ultimately outclassed across the park.

Northlakes / The Bay 36 def. Woy Woy 5
A clinical display from the visitors who reignite their finals hopes with a well-earned bonus point win. Northlakes / The Bay controlled the pace of the game from the outset, with strong performances across their forward pack. They now leap back into 4th place and have it all to play for in the final round.

Warnervale 74 def. Gosford / Kariong 14
Warnervale left no doubt about their claim on second spot, putting in one of their most complete performances of the year. Aaron Lee was electric in attack, and the Wildcats ran riot through a weakened Gosford/Kariong side. With this result, Warnervale will head into finals brimming with confidence.

Terrigal 17 def. Razorbacks 10
In a tight and physical contest, Terrigal secured their finals berth with a gritty win over the Razorbacks. Defence was the story of the day, with both teams struggling to break the line. The loss puts pressure on the Razorbacks, who now face a must-win scenario in Round 15 to stay in the finals race.
