Round 4 delivered an explosive weekend of rugby action across the Central Coast, with standout individual performances and dominant team efforts lighting up the scoreboard in the Wyong Leagues Group Premier 1 competition.

 

Northlakes/The Bay 34 def. Warnervale 22

In a high-energy clash, Northlakes/The Bay emerged victorious over a resilient Warnervale outfit. The match was a showcase of structured attacking play and powerful forward momentum from Northlakes, with Manasu Ralulu orchestrating play superbly from the back, and Logan Hemopo proving a force to be reckoned with in the breakdowns and ball carries. Despite a strong performance from Christopher Hitch, who led Warnervale with courage and grit, the visitors couldn’t close the gap late in the game. This was the first win for Northlakes/ The Bay in 2025.

Razorbacks 48 def. Lake Macquarie 12

The Razorbacks flexed their attacking muscles with a commanding win over Lake Macquarie, driven by a phenomenal solo effort from Jake Hubbard, who crossed the line five times in a relentless display of pace and finishing. Razorbacks’ backline cohesion and forward dominance created opportunities across the park, and Hubbard capitalised on the final touches.

Woy Woy 31 def. Avoca Beach 22

Woy Woy held their nerve in a tightly contested battle against Avoca Beach. A disciplined defensive effort and clinical execution near the try line gave Woy Woy the edge, as they controlled possession in key moments. Avoca pushed hard in the second half, but Woy Woy’s composure and consistency sealed the win.

Terrigal 92 def. Gosford/Kariong 7

Terrigal delivered a masterclass in attacking rugby with a stunning 92-7 demolition of Gosford/Kariong. The match will be remembered for the exceptional performance of Blake Irwin, who ran in seven tries, showcasing blistering speed and a nose for the line. Terrigal’s comprehensive display of skill, support play, and relentless pressure proved too much for the visitors.

Premier 2

 

Round 4 of the Premier 2 competition delivered a compelling mix of tight contests, statement wins, and a continuation of one team’s dominant run at the top.

Warnervale 19 def. Northlakes/The Bay 0

Warnervale turned in a composed, all-round performance to shut out Northlakes/The Bay in a 19-0 victory. Controlling the tempo from the outset, Warnervale’s defensive structure held firm, allowing no room for Northlakes to break through. It was a mature display built on discipline and sharp execution.

Razorbacks 29 def. Lake Macquarie 24

In one of the weekend’s most thrilling contests, the Razorbacks edged out Lake Macquarie in a nail-biter. Both teams traded blows throughout the match, but the Razorbacks held their composure in the dying minutes to seal the win. Lake Macquarie can take plenty of positives from their spirited effort, but the Razorbacks’ ability to grind out the result proved the difference.

Avoca Beach 38 def. Woy Woy 5

Avoca Beach stormed to an emphatic win over Woy Woy, with a dominant second-half display. Their speed out wide and clinical finishing saw them pile on the points, while a disciplined defensive unit limited Woy Woy to a solitary try. The win cements Avoca’s place among the frontrunners in the competition.

Terrigal 67 def. Gosford/Kariong 3

Terrigal continued their unbeaten streak in formidable fashion, dismantling Gosford/Kariong with a commanding 67-3 win. From the opening whistle, Terrigal imposed their will on the game — fluid in attack, ruthless in the breakdown, and disciplined in defence. Now four rounds in, Terrigal remain the only undefeated team in Premier 2, and their depth and cohesion are setting the benchmark across the competition. With every passing week, they look increasingly like the side to beat in 2025.

 

 

 

Women’s Premier 1

Warnervale 33 def. Northlakes/The Bay 17

Warnervale secured back-to-back wins with a strong showing over Northlakes/The Bay, continuing to build confidence and cohesion in their 2025 campaign. Their attacking combinations are beginning to click, and their ability to finish out wide proved too much for a spirited Northlakes outfit.

Avoca Beach 69 def. Woy Woy 5

Avoca Beach continued their free-flowing form with a commanding 69-5 victory over Woy Woy. Central to the win was Jaida Staben, who had a standout game, accumulating 17 points through a mix of tries and conversions. Staben’s speed, composure, and accuracy were on full display in a dominant player-of-the-match performance, as Avoca’s structure and support play overwhelmed Woy Woy from the outset.

 

Terrigal 54 def. Gosford/Kariong 7

Terrigal maintained their strong standing with a polished 54-7 win over Gosford/Kariong. Terrigal’s mix of speed and strength across the field proved unstoppable, and their defensive pressure kept their opponents contained. With this win, Terrigal continues to show they are a major force in the competition.

Lake Macquarie vs Razorbacks – Postponed

The scheduled fixture between Lake Macquarie and the Razorbacks has been postponed to a later date.

 

 

Premier 3

Warnervale 27 def. Northlakes/The Bay 19

Warnervale claimed a hard-fought victory over Northlakes/The Bay in a contest that ebbed and flowed from the start. With both sides producing strong forward play, Warnervale’s edge came through in key moments, finishing their chances to secure the win and keep themselves in the mid-table hunt.

Avoca Beach 71 def. Woy Woy 0

Avoca Beach continued their undefeated streak in 2025 with a breathtaking 71-0 demolition of Woy Woy. It was a flawless team display, headlined by a man-of-the-match performance from Broc Hardy, who tallied a staggering 36 points through a combination of tries and conversions. Hardy was electric across the park — dictating the tempo, exploiting space, and leading by example in a truly special individual outing. Avoca remain the only unbeaten side in Premier 3 and look poised to go deep this season.

Gosford/Kariong 14 def. Terrigal 0

Gosford/Kariong turned in a determined, disciplined performance to blank a strong Terrigal outfit 14-0. Built on rock-solid defence and smart kicking, Gosford/Kariong controlled the physical exchanges and made the most of their attacking opportunities. In a challenging season for the club at the top levels, the Premier 3 side is proudly leading the way for Gosford/Kariong in 2025, setting the tone with heart, cohesion, and consistency.
