Wyong Leagues Group Premier 1

 

Woy Woy 42 vs. Gosford/Kariong 9

Woy Woy showcased their strength in a 42–9 win over Gosford/Kariong. Gosford/Kariong competed hard for 60 minutes, but Woy Woy’s superior fitness and tactical play saw them pull away in the final quarter. They hold a spot in the top 4 as they head into a tough run of fixtures in the next month.

Warnervale 24 vs. Terrigal 52

Warnervale improved on their Round 1 performance against Terrigal but still fell short, losing 52–24. Terrigal’s attacking prowess and depth were evident as they continued their undefeated run.

Avoca Beach 29 vs. Razorbacks 36

In a closely contested match, the Razorbacks edged out Avoca Beach 36–29. Edan Sirone was the standout player, scoring a hat-trick and leading his team with powerful finishes. Fionn Henderson-Foley kept Avoca Beach in the mix with five penalty goals, but the Razorbacks held onto their second-place position.

Northlakes/The Bay 17 vs. Lake Macquarie 33

In the first seniors match at Buff Point, Lake Macquarie defeated Northlakes/The Bay 33–17. The game was evenly contested, with Lake Macquarie scoring five tries to Northlakes/The Bay’s three. Both teams displayed great spirit and determination throughout the match.

 

Premier 2

 

Northlakes/The Bay 12 vs. Lake Macquarie 21

In a competitive match, Lake Macquarie emerged victorious with a 21–12 win over Northlakes/The Bay. Both teams exhibited strong defensive structures, but Lake Macquarie’s tactical kicking and forward dominance made the difference.

Warnervale 15 vs. Terrigal 46

Terrigal showcased their attacking flair in a commanding 46–15 win over Warnervale. Mitchell Ryan was the standout player, scoring a hat-trick and leading his team with exceptional runs and support play.

Avoca Beach 12 vs. Razorbacks 18

The Razorbacks narrowly defeated Avoca Beach 18–12 in a hard-fought encounter. Both teams exchanged tries, but the Razorbacks’ disciplined defence and tactical kicking secured them the win.

Woy Woy 116 vs. Gosford/Kariong 0

In a match that resembled a cricket score, Woy Woy overwhelmed Gosford/Kariong with a staggering 116–0 victory. Their offensive game was clinical, and Gosford/Kariong struggled to contain the onslaught.

 

 

 

Women’s Premier 1

Northlakes/The Bay 19 vs. Lake Macquarie 35

Northlakes/The Bay faced a challenging match against Lake Macquarie, ultimately falling 35–19. The game was closely contested, with only a two-point difference early in the second half. Lake Macquarie’s experience and composure in critical moments made the difference.

Avoca Beach 45 vs. Razorbacks 0

Avoca Beach delivered a dominant performance, defeating the Razorbacks 45–0. Natasha Ireland was the standout player, scoring five tries and showcasing her exceptional speed and agility.

Warnervale 5 vs. Terrigal 57

Terrigal continued their unbeaten streak with a commanding 57–5 victory over Warnervale. Katie O’Mara and Emily Neville-Smith were the stars of the match, each scoring a hat-trick and leading their team with dynamic runs and clinical finishing.

Woy Woy 15 vs. Gosford/Kariong 39

Gosford/Kariong secured their first win of the season with a 39–15 victory over Woy Woy. Their attacking game was fluid, and they capitalised on Woy Woy’s defensive lapses to secure the win. Congratulations to Eve Bailey who crossed for four tries.

Woy Woy 22 vs. Gosford/Kariong 14

In a closely contested match, Woy Woy edged out Gosford/Kariong with a 22–14 victory. Both teams displayed strong defensive efforts, but Woy Woy’s timely tries and disciplined play secured them the win. Gosford/Kariong fought valiantly but ultimately fell short.

Warnervale 0 vs. Terrigal 7

Warnervale hosted Terrigal in a tightly contested game. Terrigal managed to secure a narrow 7–0 victory, showcasing their resilience and tactical discipline. Warnervale’s defence was commendable, but they couldn’t break through Terrigal’s defensive line.

Avoca Beach 33 vs. Razorbacks 7

Avoca Beach dominated the match against the Razorbacks, securing a commanding 33–7 win. Their offensive prowess was on full display, with multiple tries and effective set pieces. The Razorbacks struggled to contain Avoca Beach’s momentum throughout the game.
